Hon. Barr. Chinedu Dominic Ononiba, Mayor of Njikoka has called on all eligible citizens of Njikoka to actively participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise in Anambra State by acquiring their voters’ cards without delay.
In a recent statement, the mayor emphasised the importance of being registered to vote as a fundamental civic duty and a powerful tool for shaping the future of Njikoka and the state at large. He urged everyone who is yet to register to take advantage of the current registration exercise to ensure their voices are heard in upcoming elections.
“Your vote is your voice,” Mayor Njikoka said. “By registering to vote, you empower yourselves to influence decisions that affect our community’s development, governance, and well-being. I encourage every eligible Ndi Njikoka to visit the designated registration centres and obtain their voters’ cards as soon as possible.”
Mayor Njikoka assured residents that their active participation in the democratic process would strengthen Njikoka’s representation in government and contribute to better policies and leadership for the community.
The mayor also reminded citizens to encourage family members, friends, and neighbours to register, stressing that a higher voter turnout would promote inclusive governance and greater accountability from elected officials.
