On Monday, 21st July 2025, the Mayor of Njikoka Local Government Council, Barr. Chinedu Dominic Ononiba, was warmly received at Ama Umuakulu-Okpuloji Village, Abba, during a joint stakeholders' meeting of APGA members from Abba Wards 1 and 2. The highlight of the gathering was the official defection of N. Dr. Christopher Sunday Nwazojie, popularly known as (Igwe Ndi Agwu), to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Barr. Ononiba commended N. Dr. Nwazojie for his bold and strategic move, describing it as a vote of confidence in the progressive vision of APGA and the leadership style of Governor Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR. He stressed that the entrance of such a prominent grassroots figure would further solidify the party’s base in Abba community and Njikoka at large.
In his address, the Mayor called on party members to remain united and work tirelessly for the re-election of Governor Soludo, whose administration has delivered visible infrastructure and development across the state. He reminded the wards that November 8, 2024, is a date to secure continuity and deepen the gains of good governance.
The well-attended meeting featured community leaders, APGA ward executives, and supporters who pledged total support for Soludo's second term. The event was hosted and sponsored by N. Dr. Nwazojie himself, marking his official welcome into the APGA family.
