Mayor Njikoka, Hon. Chinedu D. Ononiba yesterday, 11th June 2025 officially inaugurated the Finance and Management Team for Agunechemba Security in Enugwu-ukwu, Njikoka Local Government Council. The security Initiative which was targeted to boost security and ensure robust safety of people and property in and around Njikoka.
Addressing the Members of The Agunechemba Finance and Management Team for Enugwu-ukwu Community at Enugwu-ukwu Civic Center, Mayor Njikoka, Hon. Barr. Chinedu D. Ononiba called on the team to prioritise vigilance, patriotism, efficiency and probity in the discharge of their primary responsibility. He noted that only synergy of purpose among security agencies and stakeholders would engender far-reaching impact, and admonished the newly inaugurated Agunechemba Finance and Management Team to liaise with the relevant Security agencies (Police, Civil Defence, FRSC, DSS and others ) and ensure optimal security of Enugwu-ukwu in particular and Njikoka in general.
Also speaking, the Deputy Mayor of Njikoka Local Government Council, Hon. Uju Fidelia Okafor emphasised the indispensability of security in our communities and Local Government and appealed to the newly inaugurated members of Agunechemba Finance and Management Team to discharge their mandate with lofty dedication, accountability and undimmed commitment.
The members of The Security Team, all pledged to work diligently in the task of making Enugwu-ukwu and Njikoka safer, liveable and more prosperous.
The Nigerian Security Forces (Police, DSS, FRSC, Civil-Defence ) who were an integral part of the initiative expressed readiness for constructive partnership with the newly inaugurated Agunechemba Finance and Management Team.
Others who spoke on the occasion praised Mayor Njikoka for the novel broad initiative, describing it as a quantum leap in the security system of Njikoka Local Government.
Undoubtedly, the security initiative by Mayor Njikoka, Hon. Chinedu D. Ononiba would strengthen security and invariably position Njikoka as one of the safest Local Government in the state and even beyond.
