The Mayor of Njikoka Local Government Council, Hon. Barr. Chinedu Dominic Ononiba has officially inducted Agunechemba Finance and Management Security Team Abagana with a charge to ensure robust operation of local policing.
The event which was held at Abagana town's Secretariat had the presence of security agencies, Community leadership, and government personnel.
In his speech, The Mayor of Njikoka, Hon. Barr. Chinedu Dominic Ononiba noted that he was passionate about the security of Njikoka and that was exactly what motivated the security team induction. Hon. Barr Ononiba noted that the idea was in line with the state government security program of zero crime initiative. He stated that the idea was to consolidate and sustain state government efforts in building a formidable security, where every citizen can live safely. He admonished all to be vigilant and report any suspicious character to relevant Security agency for onward reaction. He stated that those inaugurated were to brainstorm and finance security operations in Abagana for more efficiency in community policing.
Welcoming the Mayor and his entourage, The President General of Abagana Welfare Union, Engr Ben Okongwu (Ugbana Abagana) described security as a critical factor in local governance as no society thrives in an atmosphere saturated with crime and criminalities and vowed to lend all necessary support to the operation of the newly inaugurated team.
In her reaction, The Divisional Officer Incharge of Abagana Division, CSP Uzor Ayalia described the major as a top-shooter who doesn't relent in security matter . She stated that community policing can only be effective through collaboration of the security agencies and progressive Nigerians. She advised all to remain law abiding, corporative and allow the security agencies do their job diligently and professionally . CSP Uzor Ayalia later called for the proper orientation of local vigilantes to enable them to perform creditably and professionally without infringement of human rights.

The induction signaled a unified commitment towards effective policing for a liveable, prosperous, and safer Abagana and Njikoka in general.
