MAYOR NJIKOKA, BARR. CHINEDU ONONIBA, INSPECTS URUOKWE HEALTH CENTRE — PROMISES FACILITY UPGRADE

In continuation of his commitment to grassroots development, the Mayor of Njikoka Local Government Council, Barr. Chinedu Dominic Ononiba, today, 25th June 2025, paid an inspection visit to the Health Centre at Uruokwe Village, Enugwu-Ukwu. The visit was aimed at assessing the state of the facility and identifying urgent areas for intervention.

During the inspection, the Mayor expressed concern over the condition of some key areas in the health centre and promised to fix and upgrade critical facilities to enhance healthcare delivery in the community. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that residents, especially women and children, have access to quality healthcare at the grassroots level.

Accompanying the Mayor were Hon. Afoma Okpala, Supervisor for Health; Hon. Obiora Alexander Anene, Councillor representing Ward 2, Enugwu-Ukwu. Chief Sam Ekpe, Chairman of the Health Committee, Uruokwe Village; and Mrs. Amaoge Okeke, the Head Nurse of the centre.

The visit ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Barr. Sir Mark Onyemelukwe, who appreciated the Mayor’s prompt response and ongoing support to the health sector. He also urged the community to continue supporting government efforts toward building a healthier Njikoka.
