Barr. Dominic Chinedu Ononiba, the Mayor of Njikoka LGA, has been honoured with the 2025 Outstanding Mayor Award by the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Anambra State Council. The prestigious award was in recognition of his exceptional performance in education, healthcare, infrastructure development, and youth empowerment within the LGA.

The award was formally presented to Barr. Ononiba by the Head of Service in Anambra State, Dame Theodora Okwy Igwegbe, during a well-attended ceremony held in Awka. The event brought together labour leaders, govt officials, and community stakeholders who applauded the Mayor’s people-focused leadership and development strides.

In his response, Barr. Ononiba expressed gratitude to the NLC for the recognition and dedicated the award to the people of Njikoka. He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering impactful governance and ensuring that development continues to reach every community within the local government.
